Marine Harvest has together with McDonald’s in Norway developed a tasty, healthy alternative for people dining at McDonald’s – the salmon wrap.
A salmon stick, wrapped in salad and tortilla and flavoured with Wasabi or Honey Mustard, has become a great hit for Norwegian consumers. The salmon wrap is now part of the standard menu in all McDonald’s restaurants.
The salmon stick comes from Marine Harvest’s own farmed salmon at Hitra, and is further processed in Belgium.
Marine Harvest was awarded the Seafood Award for innovation in seafood 2007 for this product, together with the Sterling White Halibut.
