Tracking and tracing

Tracking and tracing is an important tool in the event of an adverse incident.  We keep records of every step of the value chain in order to ensure safe and healthy seafood.

All production and processing facilities keep records of all deliveries and receivables such as fish eggs, fish, feed, ingredients for use in value added processing and all packaging material.

Every production step is recorded. The records make it possible to trace back any product to its origins. All boxes or packages of fish delivered from a Marine Harvest processing plant has a batch number on the label. This is the key for tracing purposes.
