All production and processing facilities keep records of all deliveries and receivables such as fish eggs, fish, feed, ingredients for use in value added processing and all packaging material.
Every production step is recorded, as are any actions such as vaccinations. These records make it possible to trace back any product or receivable.
We record further details at our Marine Harvest processing plants. These include the farm site, processing date and customer information. All boxes or packages of fish delivered from a processing plant have a batch number indicated on the label. This is the key for tracing purposes.
