Marine Harvest Ingredients is a marketer and seller of high quality marine ingredients from salmon raw material. Freshness, sustainability and traceability are key strengths of our products in the market. These ingredients are made from fresh salmon raw material at our facility at Hjelmeland, adjacent to the Ryfisk processing plant.
The products are manufactured by our production company, Rygro AS, at our food grade production facility. The salmon rest raw material is transported in pipelines from the salmon processing plant, and it is ground up and heated. We then separate the protein and oil in a tricanter, and the salmon oil is further polished to remove any water and remaining impurities.
The crude salmon oil is primarily sold to feed and petfood producers, refined salmon oil is sold both for use as an Omega-3 supplement and as an ingredient to food and beverage. Salmon protein is sold as a feed ingredient.
